Gallery Projects About Contact

From September until the end of December of 2007 I worked, together with 8 other students, on the Adventure Ecology project. The man in charge of AE goes on expeditions to raise awareness about ecological problems. For his upcoming expedition he planned to go to Trash Island; an island formed of trash by the currents twice the size of Texas floating in the ocean next to California. He wanted a game to accompany this expedition to teach children what's going on and what can be done about it.

We made a proof of concept to go along with a design document. Aeco became a plan for a Massive Multiplayer Online Alternate Reality Game. MMO because the player has to work together with tons of other children on the planet playing it, and ARG because it combines puzzles in the real world as well as in the digital world.

I was creative director for this project and painted concepts and other art for it. You can find a selection of the art I did for Aeco in my gallery. The video on this page shows a small part of the presentation we did in the end of December, for the proof of concept.
